Description

The Aluminium Door Threshold Strip provides a practical way to finish the point where different flooring surfaces meet. It creates a smoother connection across the joint while helping cover minor unevenness between adjoining floors.

A Tidy Finish Across Different Floors

This 40 mm profile works with carpet, parquet, wood, laminate, vinyl and tiled flooring. Therefore, it suits a variety of interior floor layouts.

The strip also covers exposed flooring edges at the transition. This helps protect them from everyday damage while giving the completed floor a cleaner appearance.

Its anodised aluminium construction combines strength with resistance to corrosion. Meanwhile, the smooth profile reduces prominent edges across the flooring connection.

The threshold can be used around doorways, room entrances and other floor joins. It suits homes, offices and commercial interiors. In addition, it works for new installations as well as replacing older worn trims.

Two lengths are available. The 1 metre option works well for shorter connections, while the 2 metre profile gives more coverage for wider areas. Either length can also be cut down with a hacksaw when required.

Four finishes provide different choices for the surrounding interior. These are Champagne, Silver, Gold and Dark Brown.

If the same project includes steps, suitable stair nosings can help protect exposed stair edges in a similarly neat way. Where the stair tread needs added grip, an anti slip stair nosing can provide a more suitable finish for that area.

Overall, this aluminium threshold provides a simple way to join different flooring types while protecting edges and maintaining a clean transition.

Material & Finish

The anodised aluminium surface gives this threshold a smooth and refined appearance while providing resistance to corrosion and everyday wear. Its 40 mm width creates a visible but tidy border between adjoining floor coverings.

Finish choices include Champagne, Silver, Gold and Dark Brown. The lighter metallic options suit a classic aluminium look, while Dark Brown provides a deeper tone for interiors where a stronger contrast is preferred.

Installation

Measure the Required Length

Measure the flooring transition before fitting. Decide whether the full 1 metre or 2 metre profile is needed.

Cut the Strip

If necessary, mark the required measurement and cut the aluminium threshold using a hacksaw.

Prepare the Floor

Clean the installation area thoroughly. Make sure the floor is dry before positioning the strip.

Mark the Fixing Points

Place the profile over the floor joint. Align it correctly and mark the designated screw positions.

Secure the Threshold

  1. Drill the required holes.
  2. Insert the supplied plugs.
  3. Return the threshold to its position.
  4. Fix it securely using the supplied screws.
  5. Check that the profile sits evenly across the transition.
