Description

The Aluminium Door Threshold Ramp Strip creates a gradual connection between flooring surfaces that meet at different heights. Its 45 mm x 16 mm ramped shape covers the change in level while protecting the exposed floor edges from everyday wear.

Wood, laminate, carpet, vinyl & tiled floors can all be joined with this profile. Therefore it works well at doorways, room entrances and other indoor transition points - where one surface sits higher than another.

Rather than leaving a sudden step between the two floors - the sloping profile creates a smoother route from one level to the next. This makes the transition more practical while keeping the finished flooring neat.

Made from anodised aluminium, the threshold combines strength with resistance to corrosion. Meanwhile Silver, Gold and Champagne options allow the finish to work with different flooring colours and interior styles.

Made for Different Floor Layouts

The strip comes in 1 metre & 2 metre lengths. As a result it can accommodate both smaller openings and longer floor joins. If required, the aluminium can also be cut to the exact length needed.

The profile suits homes, offices and commercial interiors. In addition, it can be fitted during a new flooring project or used when an existing threshold trim has become worn.

Where the same flooring project continues onto steps, stair nosings can provide a finished edge to the staircase while this ramp strip manages the change between floor levels. An anti slip stair nosing may be useful on stair edges where additional grip is required.

Overall, this aluminium ramp profile provides a straightforward way to bridge uneven floors while maintaining a tidy and durable transition.

Why Stair Nosing Hut for Your Flooring Project?

Choosing the correct transition profile depends on the floor level, opening width and surrounding finish. Stair Nosing Hut provides clear product details to help you compare these features before fitting. For questions about this ramp profile, call 07404270642 or email sales@stairnosinghut.co.uk.

Material & Finish

Made from anodised aluminium, this threshold ramp has a clean surface that suits both modern and traditional interiors. The aluminium is resistant to corrosion and everyday wear, making it suitable for regular use across flooring transitions.

The profile is available in Silver, Gold and Champagne. Each finish gives the ramp a simple and refined appearance while allowing it to coordinate with different flooring colours and interior schemes.

Installation

Measure the Transition

Check the required length across the doorway or floor join. Mark the profile where it needs to be shortened.

Cut the Aluminium

Use a fine tooth hacksaw to cut the strip to the required length when necessary.

Prepare the Floor

Clean both sides of the transition. Make sure the installation surface is dry before positioning the trim.

Mark the Fixing Positions

Place the ramp strip over the uneven floor connection. Align it correctly and mark the designated fixing points.

Fit the Profile

  1. Drill the required fixing holes.
  2. Insert the supplied plugs.
  3. Return the profile to its position.
  4. Secure it with the included screws.
  5. Check that the ramp sits firmly between both flooring levels.
