Description

The natural pine wood scotia trim is a solid timber moulding designed to create a smooth finish where adjoining interior surfaces meet. Its concave shape forms a gentle curved transition while neatly covering expansion gaps and minor imperfections.

This profile works particularly well between flooring and skirting boards. In addition, it can be fitted around wall panels and ceiling edges where a defined timber border is required.

Two profile sizes are available at 15 x 15 mm and 20 x 20 mm. Therefore, you can choose the amount of coverage that best suits the surrounding surfaces and gap.

The trim comes in 1000 mm and 2400 mm lengths. The shorter option is useful for smaller sections, while the longer profile provides greater coverage where fewer joins are preferred.

Natural pine gives the moulding a warm timber appearance. Meanwhile, the untreated surface allows the final look to be adapted to the interior. It can be stained, painted, oiled or waxed after fitting.

The timber is kiln dried for improved stability and durability. As a result, the profile provides a practical finishing solution for both modern and traditional interior projects.

Overall, this pine scotia trim combines a curved decorative shape with useful gap coverage for flooring, skirting, wall panels and ceiling edges.

Material & Finish

The trim is made from solid natural pine and kiln dried before use. Its concave face creates the curved shape associated with scotia moulding while maintaining the natural grain and character of the timber.

The surface is supplied untreated, which leaves the final appearance open to the project. It can be painted for a solid colour or stained to retain more of the timber character. Oil or wax can also be applied where a different natural finish is preferred.

Installation

  • Measure and cut the trim with a fine tooth saw.
  • Fix in position using wood glue, nails or panel pins.
  • Apply paint, stain, oil or wax after fitting if required.
