Description

The pine wood scotia beading is a solid timber moulding designed to finish gaps and junctions around floors, walls, ceilings and panels. Its shaped profile adds a decorative timber detail while creating a cleaner transition between adjoining interior surfaces.

Two sizes are available 25 x 25 mm and 30 x 30 mm. Therefore, the trim can be selected according to the finish required for the project.

Made from kiln dried solid pine, the beading retains the natural warmth and grain of real timber. Meanwhile, its untreated surface allows the final appearance to be adapted to the surrounding decor.

The profile is particularly useful for covering expansion gaps and joints along flooring edges. It can also finish skirting areas, ceiling junctions and panel edges where a decorative moulding is preferred.

Lengths of 1000 mm and 2400 mm are available. As a result, the trim can suit smaller sections as well as longer interior runs.

Because the pine is supplied untreated, it can be painted, stained or varnished after fitting. This gives flexibility when coordinating the moulding with modern or traditional interiors.

Overall, this natural pine scotia beading provides a practical combination of gap coverage and decorative detail for a range of interior finishing projects.

Material & Finish

Solid kiln dried pine forms the complete profile, giving the moulding a natural timber appearance with visible wood character. The different shapes add their own decorative detail, from the more defined butterfly and grooved styles to the simpler smooth option.

The pine is supplied untreated, so its final appearance can be chosen after installation. Paint can provide a different colour, while stain or varnish can enhance the timber surface and retain more of its natural look.

Installation

  • Measure and cut the trim to length with a fine tooth saw.
  • Fix in position using wood glue, nails or pins.
  • Paint, stain or varnish after fitting if required.
